Product information

What it is Retatrutide, also known as LY3437943, is a synthetic peptide built around three receptor targets: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. That combination is unusual. GIP and GLP-1 belong to the incretin system and are closely tied to glucose-dependent insulin signaling, while glucagon adds a different set of metabolic effects. Researchers are interested in what happens when these signals are brought together in one molecule. Retatrutide therefore differs from dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists such as tirzepatide, which do not include glucagon receptor activity. What research has found so far The research is no longer limited to receptor or animal work. Human trials have looked at body weight, glucose control and other metabolic endpoints. One Phase 2 study followed 338 adults with obesity or overweight without diabetes for 48 weeks. In the 12mg group, mean body-weight change reached 24.2% at week 48. The trial also included lower-dose groups, where the results were different, so that figure should not be read as a general effect of retatrutide. Earlier and parallel studies have also examined glycemic control in people with type 2 diabetes. Retatrutide has since moved further into clinical development. The available findings come from defined trial populations and protocols, though, and do not serve as instructions for research materi
